Business Intelligence Developer

SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for collecting and analysing data using Power BI and Excel to tie various points from multiple sources to create compelling and meaningful dashboards and reports for use internally within Peninsula and external stake holders. A high level of data analytics as well as technical bench strength to work with multiple data sources based on SQL, excel, csv and web services will be required to succeed in this position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain ETL Packages using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Design, Develop and Implement technical solutions based on business requirements.
  • Develop Reports using Reporting Services.
  • Develop SQL Procedures/Functions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Experienced in MS Reporting Services, including setup, security, deployment and complex report development using SQL Server Data Tools for Visual Studio.
  • Can demonstrate ability in Microsoft SSIS by Extract, Transform, and Load the server database.
    Strong MS SQL query writing experience. Create/ consume views & stored procedures to power data visualizations, dashboards and reports.
  • Experienced in Excel VBA to extract data from SQL Server to produce reports and dashboards.
  • Experienced in implementation of robust security models in the Power BI service.

Desirable

  • Experience in the development of OLAP cubes using SSAS.
  • Experience in report development in Power Bi.
  • Microsoft Certified in Business Intelligence will be added advantage.
