Risk Management Solutions – Team Lead

SUMMARY

The Risk Management Solutions – Team Leader has several duties including, developing the derivatives trading with external counterparties and increasing the number of structured products sold. The risk management solutions – team leader is mainly focused on developing the derivatives and structured products business while implementing the necessary processes internally to achieve this. This role would suit someone with previous experience in bunkers, sales and structured products.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Analyse and see if there is improvements to be made on current processes
  • Make sure the business is always compliant under the current regulations
  • Understand the company’s DOAs that are in place
  • Make sure all the documentation is in place and updated
  • Liaise with Credit/Finance/Legal for new procedures and documentation
  • Develop a plan of action to target the existing customer base
  • Maintain customer relationship where we have developed structured products for
  • Create a detailed approach with bespoke products to target each client
  • Analyse customer patterns and needs
  • Develop marketing material and conduct seminars that help drive the process forward
  • Create bespoke presentations and material for each client meeting
  • Liaise with the team to improve current reports
  • Create reports and have controls on the performance of all structured products
  • Generate a breakdown of results / Monitor customer, deal, contract performance
  • Educate the sales force with regards to Derivatives and structured products

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 Essential

  • Business level of English language essential;
  • Confident individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Persuasive and influential by nature, a highly effective negotiator able to ‘think on your feet’
  • High level of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to swiftly express key information to facilitate line manager / Regional Head decision making
  • High level of commercial acumen, able to think analytically and strategically and understand the wider business context
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and towards shared goals but equally able to work independently with a minimal level of supervision
  • Ambitious, self-motivated and demonstrating a willingness to continually develop own knowledge and skills
  • High level of computer literacy including proficiency of MS Office package and able to work with CRM systems
  • Risk management skills, understanding price risk
  • Physical and paper understanding
  • Knowledge of the Bunker Industry essential
