Customers joined Peninsula in Tokyo for an expert-led seminar focused on marine fuel quality

Peninsula recently welcomed a strong group of customers to a dedicated Fuel Quality Seminar in Tokyo, bringing industry professionals together to share knowledge and discuss one of the most important aspects of marine energy and bunkering: fuel quality.

The seminar provided a forum for practical discussion around the complexities of fuel quality, drawing on Peninsula’s in-house expertise to help customers better understand testing, laboratory results, GCMS analysis and the processes involved when investigating potential quality issues.

The session also explored the importance of looking beyond individual test results. From quality assurance and traceability to onboard fuel management and evidence gathering, the seminar highlighted the different factors that need to be considered when assessing marine fuel performance.

For Peninsula, this expertise forms an important part of the value we provide to customers. Maintaining high standards is not only about the product supplied, but also about having the knowledge and experience to offer informed guidance and support when challenges arise.

Jeroen de Vos, Peninsula’s Head of Global Operations said: “Quality is fundamental to the service we provide our customers. Our responsibility goes beyond supplying fuel; we want to share our expertise, help customers navigate the complexities of fuel quality and provide practical guidance when challenges arise. Bringing so many customers together in Tokyo was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and demonstrate the high standards we apply across our operations.”

The strong customer attendance reflected the relevance of the topic and the value of bringing industry professionals together to exchange knowledge and discuss the complexities surrounding fuel quality. Following the success of the Tokyo event, Peninsula is also considering opportunities to replicate the seminar format in other key customer locations.

By combining strong quality standards with in-house technical expertise, Peninsula continues to focus on what matters to customers: reliable support, informed advice and the confidence that quality remains a priority at every stage.
