The Egypt/Suez region benefits from optimal weather conditions year-round, which influenced Peninsula’s strategy to apply for a license to provide additional support for vessels sailing east from the Mediterranean Sea.

Peninsula operates a floating rotating storage unit supporting three barges, which supply approximately 30KT per month, including VLSFO,LSMGO, and HSFO.

With approximately 20,000 vessels passing through the Suez Canal each year, Egypt once had a strong bunkering operation supplying over 3million MT per year.

In 2011, local revolution caused the entire operation to be suspended. We are one of the first bunker suppliers to enter the market since.
