The Chartering Team provides an exclusive shipping service for our Supply Traders who are responsible for fulfilling the storage supply by purchasing from a variety of different customers across Europe and the Americas. In addition, the team provides a link between trading and operations to ensure the voyage is performed as efficiently and effectively as possible.
We constantly evaluate all the relative shipping segments across the market and, whenever a vessel is required, search for the most appropriate and cost-effective vessel. The Chartering Team also markets Peninsula’s fleet of vessels to the external shipping market to seek opportunities to optimise any vessel’s downtime in order to achieve optimum profitability.
Fuel Quality Management
Peninsula is committed to supplying quality and compliant marine fuels to their global customers. In accordance with the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) 0.50% global sulphur cap, which became effective on 1 January 2020, the majority of our marine fuel supply is now very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO).
To ensure quality control and allay customer concerns, Peninsula’s operations, logistics and supply chain control allow the purchase of products and components for the production and delivery of compliant fuels well within ISO 8217:2017 specifications. We have implemented quality controls in our supply chain by means of intensive sampling and testing beyond industry best practices.
As quality is a continuous process, we continue to monitor and improve our standards where and when needed to ensure we successfully adapt to the future needs of our customers.
Peninsula can arrange and coordinate the provision of ship agency services together with the bunker delivery in all our physical ports, as well as in most ports around the world.
The Market Analysis team sifts through vast data sets and industry developments, using detailed perspective, to understand the true picture in order to provide an informed view of the market to support Peninsula’s commercial decisions.
Insights, forecasts and value generating reports are regularly shared with both internal and external stakeholders to create continuous engagement, allowing clients to truly benefit from our well-researched and evidence-based view of the shipping industry and markets.
