Peninsula and HTM Reception at Posidonia 2026

Peninsula marked a busy and productive week at Posidonia 2026 in Athens, underlining the company’s continued engagement with one of the most important events in the global maritime calendar.

Representatives from across Peninsula’s global network attended the exhibition, meeting with customers, suppliers and industry partners to discuss market dynamics and the evolving marine energy landscape. The week provided an opportunity to reinforce existing relationships while exploring new areas of collaboration across both conventional and alternative marine fuel segments.

A central highlight was a joint event hosted by John A. Bassadone’s bunker company, Peninsula, and shipping company, Hercules Tanker Management (HTM). The event welcomed around 500 stakeholders from across the maritime value chain, bringing together shipowners, operators, traders, suppliers and service providers in Athens.

“Posidonia provides a valuable opportunity to engage directly with the people we work with across the shipping and trading ecosystem. The strong turnout at our joint event reflects the importance of continued collaboration between owners, operators and suppliers, particularly as the industry adapts to evolving geopolitical and regulatory challenges.” — Matthew Dormer, Head of Shipping, Hercules Tanker Management.

The strong attendance reflected the depth of Peninsula’s commercial network and HTM’s growing presence as a tanker owner and operator supporting the Group’s global supply chain. By combining expertise in marine fuel supply, cargo trading and shipping, Peninsula and HTM continue to offer integrated solutions that support their customer requirements.

Victor Morales, Chief Commercial Officer, Peninsula added: “Posidonia continues to be a key forum for meaningful engagement across our industry. The week allowed us to strengthen relationships with our customers and partners, while also demonstrating the breadth of Peninsula’s global supply capabilities and our commitment to supporting the evolving needs of the maritime sector.”

In parallel, Peninsula sponsored the stands of both the Gibraltar and Algeciras port authorities during the exhibition, reinforcing its close alignment with two of the most strategically important bunkering hubs in the region.

Posidonia once again proved a valuable platform for engagement, with Peninsula maintaining an active presence throughout the week and across multiple touchpoints within the industry.
