Sourcing cargo to protect delivery commitments

Ensuring reliable supply at global scale

By sourcing cargo at scale and ahead of demand, we reduce reliance on spot availability and short-term market conditions. This strengthens supply stability during periods of volatility or disruption and limits upstream constraints that can affect delivery. Cargo is also supplied to external counterparties, particularly around Peninsula’s physical hubs, supporting local availability and logistics resilience.

All activity is governed by a conservative risk framework focused on execution, reliability and honouring commitments.

How we secure reliable cargo supply

Cargo procurement sits at the centre of how we manage supply. We procure and trade both conventional fuels and biofuels, sourcing bulk volumes in advance to meet known demand from physical supply locations and to maintain continuity across regions.

Trading activity runs alongside procurement, allowing volumes to be placed externally where required to protect delivery commitments and manage exposure.
