Peninsula strengthens industry connections at SIBCON 2026

From expert insights to customer connections, Peninsula played a leading role at SIBCON 2026.

Peninsula returned to Singapore for SIBCON 2026 as a Platinum Sponsor, bringing together colleagues, customers and industry partners during one of the bunkering and marine energy sector’s most important global events.

Bringing together more than 2,000 maritime professionals from over 60 countries, SIBCON provided an important platform for conversations around the future of marine fuel.

The week carried additional significance for Peninsula as the company celebrates its 30th anniversary globally and 20 years in Singapore.

Ahead of the conference, Peninsula brought commercial teams from across its global network together in Singapore to exchange perspectives, align priorities and strengthen collaboration before joining customers and industry peers at SIBCON.

Throughout the conference, Peninsula’s stand provided a central meeting point for conversations with customers and partners, while a dedicated Expert Series created further opportunities to share specialist insight across areas including bunker price exposure, supply and fuel quality.

Nacho de Miguel, Head of Alternative Fuels & Sustainability, also represented Peninsula on the main stage, joining the “LNG: New Investment, Market Share & Emission Management” panel. The discussion explored LNG availability and infrastructure, bio-LNG and operational efficiency as the industry continues to assess the role of different fuels in shipping’s energy transition.

Reflecting on the discussion, Nacho said: “A real privilege to share perspectives on the evolution of our industry with such an outstanding panel of speakers. Delighted to see Peninsula recognised alongside industry leaders such as CMA CGM, TotalEnergies, Singapore LNG and Seaside LNG, reflecting our growing role in supporting the maritime energy transition.

The conversations continued beyond the conference floor, with Peninsula and Hercules Tanker Management co-hosting a reception that welcomed more than 800 attendees from across the shipping and maritime communities.

Singapore has been part of Peninsula’s global network for two decades and remains a strategically important market for the business. SIBCON 2026 provided another valuable opportunity to combine the strength of Peninsula’s global network with its long-standing local presence, sharing expertise, strengthening relationships and contributing to the conversations shaping the future of marine energy.
